performance chips

hey i was wondering are there any performance chips that will do anything for a 91 honda prelude or not? i saw that jet has a thing where you actually send in the ecu and they reprogam it or Venom makes a thing for it? do they actually work? or any other ideas on how to boost torque/hp? thanks
