Side Door..Meet A Pillar

I've posted this elsewhere so I may be repeating myself to you... So big cars and small parking garages don't mix to well, I found that out tonight. The dreaded day finally came where my side door met with one of the concrete pillars in the garage. I've already looked into replacing the side power mirror (approx $50-70 for part on-line) and with my prior experience it doesn't look like it'll be that difficult of a job. But I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced a side door at all? If I found one at a local scrap yard would it be a monumental task or what? Please help!!! We're planning on selling the car in about 6-8 months anyway but I don't want to shell out thousand dollars or so to get it fixed.

if it is just the door (no frame damage) then it should only be a weekend project, at most. you just unbolt the old one and the reverse the process for the new one. unless you have a million wires running from the door and you are only purchasing the door not the window.
