2.6L MFI to carb conversion

Does anyone know if the 2.3L intake and carb will fit a 2.6L head? I want to change over to a carb and intake to allow for future modifications and eliminate the ECU control of the fuel and ignition. I also want to know if the 2.3L distributor for a carb engine will fit a 2.6L MFI engine for the sam ereason. Ultimate goal is to save gas and increase horses and possibly convert to alternative fuel.
