I was just wondering how much it would be if I took out the motor in my 92 gsr and put a type r engine in it b/c the gsr one has a ton of miles on it plus i want a better engine. also, how much will this cost? thanks for your help

Around here, the motor itself costs upwards of $5500 plus around $600 for the install. Its qure expensive, but its the type R.... :)

I would suggest a JDM GSR motor and upgrade the compression, cams, and cam gears with the extra money. Before the installation of the engine, these parts are much easier (and therefore cheaper) to install.

I would agree with him on this, get a GSR engine, and put bigger pistons, rods, port, polish, cam's, the works, and it will come out maybe a lil cheaper than doing a b18c5 swap...... And you will be putting out more power than with the b18c5.... plus, you can't really upgrade stuff like this on a b18c5 because its prety much upgraded already... I read something about this, i forget what exactly though.....
