Does anyone know the address/phone number of St George Tyres? I think they are in Sydney, but could be wrong!

Thanks

I did a search at http://www.yellowpages.com.au and came up with nothing - are you sure it isn't a tyre shop at St George trading under a different name?

I checked out the online yellow and white pages as well which is why I posted here...um...I read a Hot4's mag and it mentioned them and the wheel brand that I want to buy which is called Diablo Racing - Tempe Tyres sell them but I think they are a bitch to deal with, so if anyone knows who else might stock them then I would love to know!

Thanks again!

I take directory calls as part of my job too :p

Racing Emotion are part of Croydon Auto Sports. I had hassles with them with my rims. They do get a lot of japanese wheels over though.

Australia's Best are pretty efficient with their service. I got my tyres from them. web site is www.tyres.com

Also there is Ozzytyres. They are near by. I usually speak to Hussein, he is the manager.

Hey Worshp, I actually have been to St George Tyres before but unfortunately I dont know their number as i went there a few years ago. They are a small shop but they do sell lots of stuff. I got my Falken GRB 17" for $170 a pop, which was pretty good back then. Dont know how much they go for now.

Anyway, I went the other trend and got a set of 15" mags because 17" just rides too rough in Sydney and it just got way too uncomfortable. Its much better now.

Also, I lived in Welly for a year and actually saw you cruise around the street a few times. Nice car!

hey Worshp, how does your car ride with such big wheels? When I had 17s, my car tyres would scrape against the guard if I braked suddenly and the ride was just too hard, especially when there were really bad road surface. Did you have to get your guard rolled?

My car is pretty bumpy...firm but bumpy...my guards front and back are rolled, but on my 18's I was running a 42 offset which was perfect (well actually 43 is perfect, but this was pretty close). Only had some scrapage on full lock turning into driveways and stuff...on the road it was fine unless I went over a big pothole. I'm running fulcrum coilovers which could probably do with a higher spring rate.

Yeah, our roads are shit! They tear up your tyres real bad...you hear these US peeps getting like 50k miles on the same set of tyres! Couldn't understand why until you compare the quality of the roads there v here!

I decided against 18's as it would a nightmare to drive on Sydney roads. 17's is quite bumpy already + add my coilovers on top.

I have plenty of space so don't have problems with scraping...only get the ocassional rub on full lock also.

I have no idea why anyone would need wheels bigger than 14's...... Then again I have always been "fashion challenged"
