My regular headlights are on all of the time. This problem has only just started. How do I get my daylight headlights back on? I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado

Check the sensor on your dash in the middle. If something is over it then it will be dark for the sensor and make the automatic headlights come on.

You could always try overriding the automatic headlights by pushing the dome override button 4-5 times until you hear a chime. I don't know if this will cause the system to revert back to the DRLs though. Other than that, I agree that you have a problem with the sensor in your dash. Hope this helps.

Dome Switch trick doesn't work on a 99'. Something wrong with your daylight switch. Pull your stereo out and look behind and see if your ambient light switch has become disconnected.

I wired a switch in parallel with mine so that you can have automatic or manual control over your headlights. Just need to put a 1.5 K ohm Resistor in parallel with the light sensor through a switch....

where is the dome override button ? will this work on a 2005 silverado ? i have double limo tint on my truck all the wayt around and because it is so dark in the truck with the windows up my DRL's are constantly switching from off to on in the day time. It gets kind of annoying the only thing i can do is just manually turn off my headlights when i notice this.

Dome override button is next to the headlight switch. It is a push button. The sensor is at the back of the dash near the windshield, so I wouldn't think that the tint would effect it that much.

Take the bezel off, and try to get at it that way.

YOu could do that. It won't hurt anything, unless the DRL fuse is attached to another electric compenant.
