PG amps

Ok, I read the newbie forum where it has a list of the brands to buy and the brands not to buy and I took it into consideration. Now, I know that Phoenix Gold is on the good list and that it was in bold. Therefor, it should be a good brand to buy. I own an older PG amp that is in my daily driver and it is awesome. I am setting up my other car with a stereo and was looking for a 5 channel amp so that I would only need one amp. Im not looking to go all out on bass in this one as I dont listen to bass intensive music near as much as I used to. I just want a system that will pump out good quality music no matter what type it is. I noticed that there were some nice looking amps on the internet that seemed to be perfect for me but were a little bit on the cheap side. What I was wondering is has anyone dealt with a PG amp recently? Is their quality as good as it was in their older amps? Just didnt want to end up with something that said PG if the name had been sold to a discount amp maker. Thanks for any replies in advance.

I would not trust the newer amps like the octane series either

Well thanks for that because that is exactly what I was looking at an octane series. Doesnt matter at this point yet anywhy because the car is gonna be out a little while longer. 1st gear synchros went out on my tranny...good thing its not the daily driver!
Thanks again
