Lost Key

Alright we lost the keys to our 2001 Nissan Frontier. The thing is that Nissan says itd be like 120 bucks to get a new key and program it and that we have to have the truck there for them to even giveus a key. Now call me crazy but if we have no key, and we cant drive it, thats a problem. Is there any way to get ahold of a key and program it ourselves?

For what it's worth, I have seen replacement keys on ebay. Search for "Nissan Frontier Key". only thing is, you still somehow have to get the vehicle to the dealer to program the key......another option is to purchase a whole new key cylinder with new keys.....or hotwire it?? Sorry, but I can't think of too many more options....
