Is there a fuel cut off switch in a 2002 silverado? If so where is it? I was rear ended and now the truck will not start. Its not getting any fuel. I checked at the fuel rail.

My guess would be somewhere by the fuel tank. That way there isn't gas spilling all over the place if a line gets shredded. Those sensors are way too sensitive IMO. I had a buddy get rear-ended in his Mustang and it tripped his sensor(which was by the tank) even though there was minimal to no damage.

That would be my thought also.. however I have asked a few people and they say there is no cut off switch.

Have you checked your fuses/relays? Thats a good(and cheap) place to start. Sometimes in an accident the jarring is enough to take out a couple of fuses. Were you hit hard enough to deploy the airbags? If so then it may be something in the PCM that is shutting off your fuel.

No airbags.. Im planning on going out and jumping the pump a the fuel relay to see if it comes on.

I have a '99 and I was hit from behind so hard it buckled the frame. The frame split the sheet metal in the bed.
The airbags didn't deploy. I drove it home.

you may also want to check the ground strap from the frame to the gas tank... on my 00 it needs to be attached in order for the pump to run. just a thought.
