cv.vic looses little power when the air condition is turned on..changed the plugs but can still fell it very gently any idea what it can be? THNX

Running your A/C is not free, it uses your engine power to turn the A/C compressor. With this said the loss of power is normal along with lower gas mileage.

It all depends on weight of the car vs gearing vs horsepower when it comes down to how noticeable the power loss will be. There are also other factors such as air conditioner charge pressure. Again depending on your gearing driving without overdrive in the city will help. Now day’s even small engines have good horsepower and weight ratio. Try a mid 80's 4 cyl car like the chevette, you turn the A/C on and you lose half a engine.

well Your Right..but I Have Tried Driving With The Over Drive Off And The Transmission Just Go's Wild..and Since It Was A Former Police Car I Think That The K-9 Handler Drove This Car Like Crazy And Since It Was A Take Home Car..i Suspect He Broke That Option..but I Think Its Some Sort Of Filter Or Somthing.becuse In Oreder To Take Off At A Good Speed I Have To Turn Off The Air To Get A Good Head Start..
