Odd 2001 Cabrio problem

I have a 2001 Cabrio. 2 days ago, someone changed my oil and filter, and put freon? in the air conditioner. I witnessed this person also take a water hose and rinse under the hood of the car. I ran the air conditioner and it is fine, but the next day the car was dead. I used a battery charger and the the car started right up. I ran an errand and came home and realized I heard the fan in the inside of the hood blowing. I thought nothing of it. Then I went out about 2 hours later and the fan was still blowing. I thought that maybe that is why the car had died the night before. So someone came over and disconnected and reconnected the fan and the car drove fine. The next day the car was dead again, this time when I plugged in the battery charger the fans came on immediately. I started the car and by the time I got to my destination the fan had cut of normally. I have the batter and alternator checked and both are fine. Anybody have any idea what is wrong with this car?

You most likely need a fan control module (and possibly harness). Its under the coolant resivour.
