I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 series. I am not getting fire to my fuel pump. I have checked the relays and switched them all around. I have checked all of my fuses. I still have not found the problem so Since it is fuel injected I couldnt see why I couldnt run me a hotwire to my fuel pump to see if I could get it running. I did so and I am not getting fire to my spark plugs or my ignition coil either. What in the world could cause this. I thought it may be the computer needed reset so I unhooked the negative battery cable and touched it to the positive cable twice and still had no luck. Has anyone got any ideas on what could possibly cause the problem I am having?

try to find the collision cut-off switch this could be bad or just tripped out . and i know it has one but i don't know where it is located. call a dodge dealer and talk to a tech he can tell you where it is.chrysler used to use a resistor on the firewall it is a white ceramic with two wires one on one end one on the other. when you take it off turn it over and see if it has burnt the wire on the backside if the wire looks burnt replace it and you should have fire. could be whats got the fuelpump too.
