Add a few mods and it's a FRIGGIN FAST RACE CAR! No compairison.

I guarantee you that Lambo is not stock either, if you take the horsepower ratings of a stock Lambo (550) and compare to the power the supra is putting out, that thing should of been left behind even further.

Where did u get those numbers from? Try 13.2 stock. With a boost controller, downpipe and an exhaust 12.3. Think a stock Lamborghini hits 12.0. Supra would already be damn close with only about $1k in mods.Why do you think most people around here who own exotic cars have their nice looking exotic, and a supra.

Dont know if that film was computer generated or not, but it did not have to be. There are supras around here that will eat Lambos for lunch. Of course their modified, you cant expect to pump out that horsepower stock unless you pay the price up front, as with the Lambo. These videos are made for entertainment, to show how a "dime a dozen car" as the supra, can spank an exotic car. Of course I would love to own a Lambo but my supra right now is suffice. I only got mine for $18k and with only $8k in mods i can get up to 800rwhp. Spend $26k and lose a race you get mad. Spend $100k and lose a race...

Lol, Mr Integra, get your facts straight on the Poopras. First off the Diablo in that video is completely stock, car was taken directly off the showroom floor at Platinum. Ive seen it, looked at it, and touched it.

2nd having raced many a Supra i can tell you exactly what happens. First off the big bad single Turbo make huge power, but only on race gas. Without race gas, they cannot turn the boost up through the roof, and make nowhere near the power. Now moost Supra owners do not drive around all the time on race gas because its A. not available and B. rather expensive. Also, the supra has to be on drag radials, or even at high speeds it will have a very hard time with traction. Thats why when Supra owners race they want to go from a 70-80mph roll.

So here is my exact scenario, on a Single Turbo Supra, on pump gas i raced in Az. From a 30mph roll, the SUpra is toast.We raced several times, to about 150mph, and each time the Diablo wins. On a highway roll, it was very close, usually the winner ending up being whoever got the jump. Once 150-160mph comes along, the Diablo starts to pull again.

The diablo 6.0 was tested by 2 major U.S. magazines at 11.80 in the 1/4, but at 122-123mph. As we all know, the Magazine test drivers are not experts. So with some seat time, the cars are capable of even better. Just as you try to quote a SUpra doing a 13.2, when Ive never been able to see a STock Supra run anywhere near that.


ANyway, i am a fan of the Supra, and i read the Supra forums regularly. Your arguement froma money standpoint is rediculous, as i could take a $5000.00 Pinto and blow away a 800hp Supra. Big Deal, its still a Pinto, just like a Toyota is still a Toyota and a Lamborghini is still a Lamborghini.

Supras are know as dyno queens. They make huge power, but cant put the power to the ground, with many 800hp Supras running low 12's in the 1/4.

Single turbo kit= 4k, torque converter w/ 3600 stall= $800, aem ecu = 1k, FMIC=1k , fuel systyem =3k some drag radials $500. =$10,300. Misc stuff i could of forgot can pick up the extra $1,700. For a grand total of 30k. Do you doubt those things up top can get me into the 10's? This is somewhat misleading.I had a 700rwhp Single Turbo Supra and it cost a lot more than you state.A typical Single kit with Turbo(T61,T66,etc) will run 6500.An AEM ecu runs 1500,fuel system is correct at 3k,torque converter is correct at 800,but the intercooler kit runs around 1600 for a Greddy 3 row,and the exhaust itself is around 1500 with downpipe.Dont forget that any Stock auto tranny will only make one pass under high boost before it goes too.You can try to defend the car all you want as it is a truly fast car with work but its no Diablo.Being petty and talking about how fast a car is for the money is pointless as one could argue that you could get a new GSXR1000 for under 10 grand and go alot faster than both cars.1500 is all it takes to have a stock Diablo 6.0 in the 10's.Nothing else,period.

You cannot compare cars equally no matter what regards as they are completely 2 different cars. One is designed to be exotic and street legal with good overall power and handling which very few cars on the planet will ever be remembered as. Now you guys are talking about driving a non street legal car vs a street legal car, I like knowing I don't have to get pulled over and collect hefty fines or get my car towed away and it's becoming more prominent lately with cars ending up in tow yards only to end up getting stripped or something else bad. Now to me what's more impressive is the E55 Benz that does 12.4 stock in 1/4 mile and even better will be the CL55 all heavy with leather and ac running with all the luxury you can imagine and still outrun most sports cars and even exotics weighing in at less. Picture the guy next to you get blown away quietly with your ac on driving one handed, that's impressive, and you can drive the car everyday comfortably. Of course not everyone likes the luxury experience but hey that's me. The lambo for the money in my opinion is the most exotic for the money, I can't think of any car most stunning to think of.

I think a car that can compete with a 200k exotic with some mods is well worthy. No where in this thread have i said that the supra is the best car ever or that it is better than a Lambo. Your friend must have the wrong tranny setup. Whats his name ? There are a handful of supras running in the nines and I am framiliar with many of them. The stock tranny will hold up for very few 9 secon passes ( PErsonally 9.99 ), However I know many people running the TH400 and powerglides going 9's and even 8's without ever having to worry about the tranny (other than Torque converted setups).
