I have a 05 Lancer ES that a put a lot of miles on already. now after regular upkeep the rpm's keep reving from the normal 1500 to sometimes up to 3500 in neutral. Could the throttle just be sticky or what? NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP:banghead:

Someone just had the same question. There was a recall on some of the Lancers for this problem. I had a friend whos Lancer did this and his car would actually move while he was stopped. I think that all the Lancers do this which isn't cool. Mine does it too. Check to see if your car has any recalls for this problem. If not I guess we should all call up Mitsubishi and start complaining. LOL!

You could just have a loose idle bolt on your thottle. Just take a look at it and make sure that its not loose or at an unreasable setting. But yea it could just be a problem with the recall.
