Hi Guys,

I having troubles with my gas pedal, sometimes when i'm driving and right after I disconnect the cruise control the gas pedal is getting stuck so I have either press it hard or set the cruise control back and disconnect it again. I don't know if maybe a few drops of WD40 in the gas pedal cable can fix it?....any idea..or anyone having the same problem?... Thank You Guys!

I'd check the throttle cable for gunk where it connects to the throttle plate spring (does that have its own name?).

If it only happens after you have had the cruise control set it is most likely an issue with the cruise control cable. I don't have much experience with Sentra's but in other vehicles I have worked on the cruise control has a seperate cable. Best bet is to remove this cable and work some lube in from the cruise control end (this end is most likely sealed to the cruise control actuator so it is the clean(er) end of the cable). That way you won't be working the dirt farther into the cable. Use a good quality cable lubricant not WD40 (the WD in WD40 means water displacer it was not originally designed to be a lubricant). If you can't find cable lube anywhere else try a motorcycle or bicycle shop.

Good luck

Sparky

Thanks a lot Sparky, yeah that's what I thought maybe the problem is with the cruise control cable, I have checked both...but I'll check it again.

Have a nice day
