Hi, I have an '07 Odyssey EX that we purchased in December of '06. Love the car, it replaced a '99 Ford Windstar, so 'night and day' barely begins to describe the differences...! But have an issue that I'll ask about before trwkking back to the dealer.....
Recently, the car seems to have developed a 'clunk' in the steering. It's not really a sound, but more of a feeling in the steering. It's hard to describe - but almost feels like the tilt-telescope mechanism isn't latched, which it is, of course. Pressure in the tires is equal, lug nuts are all tight. But the steering just feels 'loose'. Can't describe it better than that..... Any ideas?

does this clunk only happen when first starting out after starting the engine? Or does it happen all the time.

We have a new 07 EX-L with approx. 3000km and have felt similar clunk in the steering column. It is most noticable at low speeds when turning tight (parking lot maneuvers) and in both forward and reverse directions. It is subtle but noticable.
Our Honda dealer said that this clunk was "normal". When questioned, the technician went as far as to drive another EX-L from the lot and said that it did the same thing as ours so it must be a normal thing for it to do.
I don't think so....
I wish the dealer would just say ' yup, thats not right - don't know what it is - but it shouldn't do that' and then just deal with it.
