Hi all, I am realy happy finding this active forum about cars especially about Chevrolet trailblazer and I was interested to register in it. I hope all of you help me in my issue and I expect I will have rich feedback posted to me. I own TB/ 2006/ LT/4WD. I was annoyed when I bought the car from dealer that my TB does not have TEMP & COMP indicator in the rear view mirror, but what can I do? My money gone to the dealer treasury. I intend to install this feature to my TB. I have bought the mirror with temp and comp indication. I replace the old one by the mirror I bought just for test, the campus working well with Air Bag Indication but temp doesn’t. So, it obvious it needs temp sensor and the important thing safe wiring. All what I need first if any body has the wiring diagram for this circuit, then your instruction and advises are highly appreciated. I think the issue now clear. And I hope I can achieve this because I am seeking solutions from long time.Thank you,

Welcome to AF. Unless someone here has a factory manual they will not have the diagram, a subscription online to Alldata.com is the easiest way to get one short of purchasing a factory shop manual, hang on see if someone here comes up with the diagram.

There is an aftermarket company called MITO that produces a temp'comp rearview mirror that is virtually identical to the GM unit. Thats what my dealership installs, and we have had no problems, and it doesn't require any fancy dealer wiring, just 2-3 simple connections that are easily hidden.

How does this work in respect to the outside temp, the wiring has to go thru the headliner out to the grill area to mount the temp sensor for outside readings let me know, thanks.

maxwedge,

Our guys would just run the wires up to the headliner like factory, across the top, right behind where the windshield meets the headliner, to the passenger door pillar. From there, you simply remove the pillar trim, and there is a nice little trough to set the wires into down to the dash. With a little finaggling, you can work the wires down between the glove box and outer panel. After that, I'm not sure if they go through the firewall or if there is an access through the inner fender. I'll try to find out. BTW< this is also how I hard wired my XM to my cigarrette lighter power, and was able to hide the antenna wire all the way to the back. It's mounted right up by my rearview mirror, sfe, easily accesible, and out of the way!

Ok so this routing runs outside along the inner fender to a grille sensor, correct?, your original post on this was not clear on this point, hence the query, not exactly 2-3 simple connections.

maxwedge;

right. Technically, not a lot of CONNECTIONS, just a lot of artful wire-hiding...hahaha
