I have a 2002 Silverado that the passenger side window is not operating. There are times when it does work it goes up and down very slowly. Then there are times it does not work at all. There is power to the motor. Is this a regulator problem or a motor problem?? Are they the same thing?? Is there something else to look for??? Is there a place where I can get pictures for any repairs??? Is there a good place to get parts other than the dealer??? Thanks for the help.

Have you tried lubing the tracks. I had similar problem with mine. A little cleaning and grease and all is well again. I think it might have been from lack of use that the lube did not get spread around and the tracks get rough, sticky spots.

Sounds like a motor problem to me. Make sure no teeth are missing. Always check E-Bay for parts before going to a "dealer":evillol: .

I don't know what's wrong with yours but on my '99 the driver's side went out.
I paid $110 for the motor, tracks, cable etc. from these guys. It's all one big assembly. It fit. It works. I don't use it a lot.
They have Chinese versions for less.

I think the job took an hour or so.
I recommend taping the glass to the top of the door before removing the mechanism.
I used directions from Crutchfield to remove the door panel. These are different but pretty good.
