I have been looking at used Trailblazers. (preferrably the EXT- for the third row seat) In your expert opinions, are there certain model years or options that I should avoid? We are tired of cramming three kids in the back seat of a LeSabre and the Trailblazer is big enough w/out getting something that gets horrible MPG.

Thanks!

I would say an 06 EXT if you can find one, as they got a new front end, better interior materials, and better insulation. The I6 also got a boost. However, I would look to find one with the V8, as that is one hell of a killer motor.

Yup, '05 forward it's the same flex-fuel 5.3L V-8 as in a Tahoe, Yuke, Silverado/Sierra. Pretty hard to beat.
