Watch a movie... while you drive???

Yo, I wanna put an LCD screen, maybe 5" in my car and a VCR. I basically figured out all the components I need, now I just need to find a good place to mount the screen and the VCR andybody got any interesting custom set ups or ideas where to put it? I got a 97 coupe. (single DIN)

If it were me, I would screw a seperate screen. I would go for this:

It is all in one, and slides in to put it out of the way.

Its kind of expensive though... I know it would look cleaner. All I basically need is the screen. I have everything else.

cant you hook those things up to your turbos so that you dont have to have other monitors?

What are the details on the unit ... like, size screen, tv tuner etc?

Where you want it depends on how much you want to tear your car up.

In the visors, remove the airbag and put it in the steering wheel, in your glove box, on your dash, on top of your dash, in a motorized pop up thing in your dash, in your center console, etc.

clarion in dash 6.4 screen z enhancer. no tv tuner though u have to add one

do they make kits that you can mount the screen on the dash and like fold it down out of view when not using it. Like a swivel thing??

Yeah in the DIN slot like they've put pictures of. Other than that no.

yeah they do they can mount on the ceiling of the car interior... some of them can be BIG though!! like up to 12 inches!!! it would be awesome but it would block the view of the road!

i cant put anything on the roof of my car cause it is a removable top i guess that i could put it in the glove box is that a hard job?

why don't u put them in the visors? how would you put them in the glove box? when you open the glove box you would see it or what?

Holy shit, this was an old thread of mine... since then, I've already had a screen in my car, and taken it out.

if i did it in the glove box it wouold be on the out side of it all the internals and stuff would be inside the box. i would just cut a hole in it and place it in there. do you think that this would work?

I have two suggestions, either go with eclipse or panasonic.

I was looking at the New Alpine that came out. The flip-face that already comes ready to play DVD's...any opinions on Alpine or Pioneer?

alpine in dash lcd is good stuff the menu interface is neat.. i love pioneers the best.. virtual reality menu interface... ( u are basicallystanding in a hallway in that menu)

i wreck when im looking at the road, if i had a tv in the ride i would deffinatly total this thing.

I know it sounds stupid but if you are gonna put it in make sure its legal... if its facing the driver ~ most states thats a no no and you will get a NICE PHAT ticket for it too :(
