Hi All,
Firstly, thanks to anyone that can render any answers.
Let me start from the beginning, My voyager seems to have been in a serious accident before i bought it. the car fax was clean abd the van worked great but I eventually found where the chasis was broken and finally notived the spot welding on it.
Now on to the problem. The car would start to give trouble when driving in heavy rain. The engine light would come on, the van would start to backfire, the radio, wipers and ac would not work while the engine is running but worked fine if in the acc position. The computer would start spitting out codes for all sorts of things. once out of the rain for a few hrs everything would go back to normal and the engine light would go off by itself.
A month ago, I had to replace the blower cause it was burning out wires inder the dash. Spent clost to $500 on that. This week the same thing happened. I sarted to smell burning wires, but nothing happened. Then the same thing happened like above except that it was not raining or driving in heavy rain. The car started to backfire, the engine light comes on, the radio, wipers and blower does not work while the car is running. Took it to the dealer and the looked at it brefly, and told me that something is back feeding into the ignition . Also, the brake light stays on like it is being pressed.
They will get a chance to look at it better tomorrow they said but I just know this is gonna cost an arm and a leg.
Has anyone on the board ever experienced this problem before?
I can get a 2002 caravan for $600 for parts but it's 2 states away and the guy has no space to store it. I'm hoping i can get parts from that for it if I need it.
Thanks.

About all you can do is attack things one at a time. First of all start disconnecting connectors in the engine compartment particularly around the body control module. look for moisture in the connectors, make sure the BCM cover(hopefully there is one) is sealing tight. Electronics will not work right with water in the circuits. Make sure no water is leaking into the passenger compartment when raining like around the windshield. Any of the sensors on the engine like the crank sensor could cause a lot of problems if the connectors allow moisture in. I would disconnect the battery while you do the scouting for moisture. When you finally find the wet connectors, then determine why they are not sealing up. Could even be a cracked connector body if it was wrecked.
I don't think I would start throwing parts at it till you cure the wet weather problem, it may just confuse the issue(s).

Tks for your help.
Just got the van back. Almost had a cardiac when I got the bill. The BCM was bad. Had a used one installed. Everything works fine now. One new problem has developed and it's kinna strange. If the car sits for 5-10 mins and you try to pull off it hesitates very bad until the first shift, then it's fine. Not sure what it is. The mechanic changed the map sensor and both oxygen sensors while he had the car.
Also, just noticed that when you turn on the ignition switch to acc the engine light blinks 10 times. Never seen that before.
If this is familar to anyone and they got it fixed please let me know.
Thanks.
