Hi, i just put in a new CD player and i have a stereo level converter.. i don't know why but the amp will have power and work at random times.. the ground is working too.. it's just that the power light won't turn on at all and at random times the amp will turn on and my sub will work.. and i can't seem to find out why it's doing this..

sound like u hooked ur remote ignition wire to the wrong wire. Test it for intermittent voltage at the amp. It should be on an accessory wire.
