Exhaust Question

Hello, I have a dynomax mufflers on my 1998 grand prix gt (3800 series2). When I bought my car, the person who I bought it from put those mufflers on just prior to selling it. I wanted to know if anyone knew if the stock mufflers with the dual exhaust sounded good to begin with or did they have any better sound to them, then say a single outlet? Are there any ideas on good sounding mufflers at all? I'm looking for something affordable but any ideas for a better sound would be great. Are there any that have a deep rumble?
Thanks

Hello,

I have a 98 GT and originally I had the dual OEM exhaust on board. It sounds pretty good when you are idling, has a toned down muscle car sound, however the OEM mufflers don't allow for much sound when driving. The single exhaust is great if you want your car to be quiet. I purchased a cat back system from SLP which replaced the restrictive exhaust pipe going back to the mufflers. This gave me a powerful sound throughout the rpm range and at least a few extra HP's. Hope this helps.

Here is a library of exhaust sound clips which may or may not give you an idea of what to go with but better than nothing.
