cammaro and firebird trans swap

does anybody know if a 1993 chevy camaro transmission would work in a 1994 pontiac firebird? Both cars have a 3.4L engine, i know the 94 firebird has a 4l60E trans but i dont however know what trans is in the camaro or if it will work in my car. Please if any one would happen to know a deffinate answer let me know as soon as possible.

The 93 Camaro has a 4L60 tranny. It is mostly the same thing, but w/o electronic shifting. Compatability might be a little tricky, I don'y know all the details. Hope that was somehat helpful.
