Help. Help. Help. My 1998 kia sportage 4wd automatic won't start. Interior lights and headlights on, but when key is turned all I hear is a click from area near battery.

..but then, after the click, are your interior lights and headlights still ON as you try to crank?
If they turn dead, then you have a poor battery connection......
if they are still ON, check starter cable .
