So, for the 2nd Fujimi version, we're getting a 599 with the Panamerica Brazil decals. Wonder which version(s) they'll do-besides this one. And maybe put out decal sets like they did with the Mini roof flags. Weren't there a dozen or so cars?

I'll buy that for a dollar.

We need one with 20" challenge wheels and Daytona seats. Maybe some carbon fibers templates would be nice too.

Now you're talking. That's the Fujimi 599 that I would buy. Until then I'm reasonably happy w/the Revell kit I've already got. I've seen a Fujimi in person, it's quite nice, but I don't want another 599 unless it's got the goods.

Unless I get the 20's and better seats, I will not buy either the Revell or the Fujimi. I completely understand the decals and the Panamerica, but it does not constitute buying the model. I thought the Scags were enough, this is not appealing.

Nah, I'll wait for the 430CS with TransAustralia markings.... :aus:

That is actually good news as far as I'm concerned. Thought I'd need KA decals to do that version, but since I was planning the Brazil version anyway, Fujimi kit might just be enough.

Of course as far as I remember, the seats in the original 599 kit do not match either the red or the blue Panamerica cars...

Brazil (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10060452) and USA (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10060451) versions of the Panamerica cars have been released. Looking at the box content it is clear that the only thing that changed are the decals and instructions while the interior and suspenstion remain the same. The decal sheet, however, has no licence plates, so just because of that I think I'll pass and will wait for the aftermarket set(s).

Does anyone have any personal reference pics of these, not from google or the like? I keep getting the same ones.

exterior or interior?
I have some that I took at Maranello earlier this year of the body (but Gio's are better :))

I doubt that Fujimi actually raised the ride height or changed the suspension bits or anything else that was done to the real car. New decals and thats it. :(

+1 for the 20" challenge wheels. :)

Either. But these specifically. I'm wondering if the whole inner pillars are painted (white?) like the rear buttresses are. And, am I correct in, there were 2 car teams in blue and red? Were the liveries different for them? Sorry for being so noobish:runaround:

Yea man. Why do these look white? Is it just on the Canada cars like that then?

Good point!

At first I thought it might be reflection/burn out (I had a similar effect on some of my photos from Maranello) but looking at your photo, I'd say they are for sure painted white.

It's a pretty safe bet IMO that the car in Maranello is a replica and not one of the original tour cars so maybe they just took a factory stock car and slapped some stickers on it?

I hope someone who has seen the US cars will be able to shed some light.

BTW have you checked out the Ferrariworld.com media room? I found a billion refs for my China tour cars there so I bet they will have something for the pan-America tour too.

Thanks klutz, I'll check out that site. But I'm still confused. Where there just 2 cars all together that they kept changing the livery on? Or many teams from individual countires?

These were two cars and stickers were changed depending on the country. I haven't really done much research but it seems the only difference in the livery (apart from the colour!) between the cars are the license plates. Also note that both cars have rear parking sensors and headlight washers (not present on Fujimi bodies) and the blue car also had front parking sensors.

The insides of both C-pillars on both cars were white.

I'd really appreciate if someone could post some interior reference photos. I quite like the cars and am thinking of a blue Brazil version and red Canada version, but using KA (or whoever else will make them) decals.

You REALLY should do the China Tour 612s to go with them  ;)

Hey ales. The link where I "borrowed" the pics from has excellent interior photos. Actually, I think that site has the best reference I've found so far.
