i agree he's smart and creative but he doesn't even come close to da vinci. i won't be impressed until i see him draw with one hand and write backwards with the other at the same time. i'll get the picture but he actually did this. it's the one with the ideal man in it, he drew the pic and wrote all the text backwards at the same time.

Holy shit, those machines are fucking amazing. That man is without doubt a genius...people who can integrate creativity and engineering like that come around once in a lifetime. Who cares how he compares to da Vinci, you just gotta stand back in awe.

Really, I'm not thoroughly impressed. Yes, it's neat that he can design these things, and they are functional by wind. However, things Da Vinci did either improved upon concepts and things already created at the time. As well as his own creative concepts that didn't appear until hundreds of years later.
