I was leaving my house tonight at round 8 and saw a nice white looking car come up fast on me. He followed me for a while and then when we turned out onto a main road he pulled swung wide and tried to fly by me. He got to about a carlength ahead and I saw it was A monte Carlo SS. Im not sure if they are all supercharged or what but it had a ground effects kit adn blue racing stripes I then started to pull on him and was eventually ahead by like 2 cars by 80 mph. Does anyone know if it might have been supercharged and how many cylinders?

The second was an 80's Camaro Iroc-z. He followed me and then just like the monte carlo came from behind and tried to blow by me. I put it down and pulled pretty hard and went from two cars back to one ahead in about 5 seconds. The two guys had looks on their faces that I will never forget hahaha.

Well that's it, just thought i'd share cuz im pretty pumped that I got two good races in one night!

The monte carlo SS is powerd by the GM 3800 supercharged. Even in all motor trim these V6's are pretty nasty, my homie's regal is all motor 3800 and its pretty nasty so is my moms boneville. The reason being (I think!) is that they have almost the same exact bore and stroke as a 350. I've never rode in a supercharged 3800 but they are obviously fast. Its a pretty popular motor actually. Comes in all kinds of GM cars....regal, boneville, monte carlo, grand prix...and soo many others i cant list...lol.

My mom's new '06 Grand Prix GT has the 3.8L supercharged just like the Monte Carlo SS. The thing has about 260 hp and a ton of torque, it easily takes a lot of cars on the road and I was impressed when I drove it the first time. Not something to mess with if it has even basic mods. Eats gas like crazy though. Not a very efficient motor at all.

I drove a Monte Carlo SS but wasn't all that impressed maybe it wasn't the fast one idk, but since I didn't have anywhere to go really fast I couldn't really test her.

Not all Monte Carlo SS are supercharged!! I know of two people now that have SS, full SS trim, everything, but they don't have the super charger. The one guy was pissed because his (I forget what year), he was saying that they didn't have superchargers for that year for the Monte. And yes, I'm talking the newer trim. My parents have a regular Monte Carlo which is pretty sweet by itself. Good pickup.

Don't forget the Grand National. ridiculous amount of torque something like 400 + with only like 280 hp.

I always thought that all ss monte carlos were supercharged...shows how much I know. But yea, even the all motor 3800's are bad ass.

I ran into a celica today that had a body kit and exhaust. I couldn't resist and had to show him what was up. :grinyes: From a roll he didn't do to bad but from a stop I murdered him. He didn't know how to drive and just spun bad off the line.

His runs were quiet a bit different weren't they? I thought you'd be a bit faster than that in the quarter. Still impressive though.

well as you can see its 13.7@ 83.6mph if you look at where I started decelerating just before the 12 second mark you can clearly see I was brakeing while I crossed the quartermile. I was coming up to a car kinda in the distance so I had to slow down. I think that run (with my buddy in the car) would have been around 13.1 if I had continued through which I think is pretty good since I was only at 18 psi (when I race at 30)
His difference in his runs was his launch the first one he just started like he normally would (green) and the second one we did a 3500 launch (green) and that basically made the .6s difference.

Sorry bout that I'm not too familiar w/ what to look for on those sheets i just looked at the quarter mile times. Nice times then.
