Quick Question Please Help

Hey,
Apparently the thing that charges my battery while my car is running is broken. Today I got a new battery and barley used it at all (2 miles or so). So i guess my battery is just running the whole car and its just loosing juice. With a NEW BATTERY could i drive and not damage anything ( 10 miles max)?

What are my risks?
Would it do anything?

Also, we plan on taking it in early tomarrow.

Please give me your feedback.

My friend went about a week back and forth to work (15mi each way) on just battery. Depends on the quality of the battery. Anywhere from 3 hours to I guess a week. The part that charges the battery is called the alternator.

And bumping a thread after an hour is ridiculous. Patience my boy.

Never Fear! The AF Welcome Wagon is HERE!! Bumping a thread here in the honda forums isnt allowed...period... let alone after an hour... and yes, your alternator is bad. you can prolong the life of your battery while driving by turning off all electronics.

how long though could my NEW platinum battery last it was 80$ the nicest one farm and fleet had in stock.

there's no way of knowing how long you will be able to go. you could make it, you could not. every car is different, every environment is different; just way too many variables for anyone to give you a exact yes or no answer.

yes there is watch. No you wont make. when your battery gets to low it will start to spit and spark and your engine will catch fire..












yea im kidding. my crx went a week without but i wouldnt push it. honestly its an easy fix loosen belt remove 3 bolts, do in reverse?
