Another Ferrari Thread.

While I've been cutting apart the 308, I've also been working on this one.
Pretty much straight out of box with a couple of wires added here and there.

Interior: Pinted my favourite 288 GTO combo of red stripes on black.

Chassis was constructed with little trouble until when it came to mounting the engine and subframe onto the main chassis. As a result, it's slightly off kilter.

engine still has a few holes that need to be plumbed and wired.
I've done as much as I could but this was supposed to a quick build. I'll save the extra effort for the Fujimi kit.

Finally the body.
Still in the process of detailing this and it could do with an extra coat of resin polish on top.

Nearly finished here so it's just a short thread but I thought I'd better make a start on a thread for this so I don't have to later...

Waiting for an order to arrive so I can put some finishing details.

Very Very Very nice work there!

You seem to be willing to go the extra mile with that special polish and the added details. I suggest you'd ditch the wheels and tyres then, no?
That's wha I would do, the F40 wheels are perfect for it .

And another little update.

Engine bay has been finished as much as I could for the kit, given the oversized parts and hence, little room for manouver.
As it is, this is pretty much finished except for the rear deck lid, the first of which had a mishap with a misplaced latex glove.
For future reference, don't throw those things around any paintwork...

As I said, pretty much done now and seeing as the Sun has returned, I have more opportunities to paint and photo.

I like this a lot! Isn't this the same kit Revell repacked as Ferrari GTO? I have it in my pile of unbuilt kits and it is very encouraging to see what you can make out of it.

i have no doubts about this excellent build! the picture says it all!

but i just can't bear to see those incorrect offset stock rims & vinyl tires getting in the way!

but it's just my opinion...

cheers!:runaround:

Looking very good. Nice shine you have on the paint... Now try and get one of these cheap Tamiya F40 kits to have decent wheels for this beauty. It would really Ždot the iŽ.
