Straight Six F-150

I am interested in a farm truck and have been leaning heavily towards a 92' F-150 4x4 with a straight six. I know these have a reputation for longevity and reliability that seems to escape many vehicles on the road today. As nice as that is, what can you tell me about 'common' problems associated with this engine? Are there any problems that tend to go along with this truck/engine that I should be wary of?

Thanks in advance.

PS - I am planning on purchasing this truck in the next week, so I would be especially greatfull for any speedy advice.

All ford trucks seem to have power steering trouble eventually. Mine had a broken head gasket that let water into the oil.

They also run HOT, mine did.

It's a great engine. Until the mechanic broke it, it did me terrific.

Let it be noted that I have driven the truck 20,000 miles worth. It's good.

All inline sixs rattel so don't worry but replace the stock oil pump with a high volume one it helps to reduce the rattel some.
