audio questions

I have gotten more speakers and a couple amplifiers from some used cars at work.Will addition speakers add decibels, or more pressure? Trying to build a setup for D.B. drags next season.Does that question make sense to everyone?

if you double the power and double the amount of subs, you'll gain usually 3 more db
