My C1500 Ext. Cab is along the lines of the 98 and later. I hope I am in the right place.

I have a 5.7 in my truck. It is supposed to tow 7000#. I have a 2500+# Trailmanor RV. While trying to tow it through the Ozark portion of I55 in MO my truck started missing badly. I had already replaced (sort of) the cats, installed new Champion plugs and Duraspark wires. A check at an Autozone said I was having "MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISSFIRE". I changed the distribuater cap and rotor with no luck.

Could I have a clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump that is starving the engine or something else?

Just curious, how do you "sort of" replace something?

Does it run bad at idle or just under load? If it runs ok at idle, it could be a fuel flow/pressure issue. Get a guage and hook it up to the test port and power brake it.

Get rid of the champion plugs and put AC plugs in it and maybe get some AC wires
