I dont wanna sound like a moron, but Ive never changed the fluid from a transfer case and was wondering if anyone knows of a website with step by step instructions. Getting my first suv ever(2ooo Bravada) and keep seeing that on here so I wanna know how to do it. Any links would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm having a hard time finding a picture of the rear case half of your transfer case but it looks like New Venture Gear uses a similiar drain plug/fill plug layout on many of their transfer cases...here's one for an NVG 236, 241 & 241HD. Even the NVG 271 on my Cummins powered Dodge has the same drain/fill plug layout. Some have a socket cap hole so a proper sized Allen wrench may be necessary.

Go to your local Chevy dealer and buy 2 qts. of the blue Autotrac II transfer case fluid.
If the fluid doesn't have nipple cap, go to your local auto parts store and buy a bottle of 85W-90 gear lube with the cap nipple on it...you can use the gear lube for topping off the front and rear differentials.
I can get to mine without raising it up but some drive up ramps will give you more room. If you want to raise it with a jack, be very sure to properly use jack stands on concrete to keep the car off you if the jack fails.
Drain the transfer case via the drain plug into an empty gallon jug w/funnel so you can take it back to the auto parts store for recycling.
After it slows to a drip, reinstall the drain plug and remove the fill plug.
Pour in all the 2 qts. blue Autotrac II fluid with your nipple cap screwed on the fluid bottle through the fill hole then reinstall the fill plug.
Write down the date so you can do this again next year to try to keep things slick & functioning.
Another trick is to rotate your tires regularly so they'll all wear out together and be replaced together...they very much need to have the same circumference.
