yeah, she's an oldie. Does anyone know off hand what kind of brakes im going to find on her? Hydraulic? mechanical? Im thinking hydraulic... drums on both ends... but apparently the brakes are all seized up on it... any info, or links to information on this models system would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

a little late on this one...
In 1936 GM trucks went to a hydraulic drum brake system.
Its pretty straight forward. The master cyl has like 10 pieces, so does each of the wheel assemblys. Its best to replace everything with new parts since oldies like that needed a block to stop brand new. Finding the pieces you need is probably the hardest part. You have to know the model of truck because the bigger trucks have bigger shoes/drums ( er...i think).
