chevy camaro swap help

ok so my grandma has a 90-91 camaro rs
and i bought a 89 trans-am
my grandmas can need an engine and tranny and my trans am has one.
ok my question is i know these tha trans am motor will fit in tha camaro but how hard is it. i really need tha car done in less than 2 and a half weeks painted and everythign. so any one know what to do like wiring what has to be changed the motors dont look excatly alike but i was told is a easy sway jsut need to cuz tha drive line cuz its too long so dose any one know how much wiring i have to do?

Is your problem something like the Camaro is a V6 and you wnat to put the V8 fromt the T/A in? Otherwise, if it's a V8 for V8 swap, regardless if you're going from a 305 to a 350, they'll drop right in. The only problems would be if your putting a TPI in TBI, so some fuel issues, and that the T/A is a MAF motor, the RS is speed density.

Not to mention that a TBI harness is completely diffrent from a TPI harness. The TBI harness can be repinned to work with a TPI, but it is a lot of work and should be done by someone that knows what they are doing.

A third gen is a third gen. Gut out the 90-91 to just a shell first off. The dash and all the wiring, column ect and put all the parts from the 89 into it. Tis simple. If you have both cars complete it shouldnt be a problem at all, they are the same thing, aside from the wiring and engine/trans.
