Shit, i ride my car VERY HARD!!!! and i get like 22 -25 mpg!! and thats with HIGH OCTANE!!! PREMIUM!! And that shit aint cheap here in NY!!! But i wanna keep my baby clean!! That and i change my oil every 2500 miles!! Well, is there a reason i am getting shitty gas mileage? i thouhgt i was suposed to get like 35 mpg or so, but i am all city driving, well, actually its Highway, but i am sitting in trafic both ways!! and i inch and shit! so i'm not getting the best mpg... If I took my car on a long ass trip i would get better gas mileage i supose.....

When was your last tune up? Fuel filter, plugs, etc.. Also, you could be running a little rich, maybe?
I get almost 38mpg/500 miles to a fillup, in my G20. :bloated:
About 350 miles to a fillup in my Civic.

I average about 31-32.. 30-31 with A/C in the summer. I drive the ol' d15 pretty hard....I used to avg. 34-36 and got 40 once when it was newer on a trip...but the best I can muster now is about 33 on a trip with 203,000 miles. :(
I even got 27MPG this summer when I towed a 19' boat behind it, the family (3 of us) and weekend camping gearfor a trip to VA and back. ;)

when i was drivin my car i would get like 28-32 mpg, that was running it pretty hard and in very high rpm... but now when i start it occassionally it runs rich as all hell, can just smell the gas, and it back fires like there is no tommorrow once its warmed up, haven't really got to check things out with it though... my o2 is prolly shit again... after sitting and what not... my tps is prolly kicked over too... and lord only knows what else is...

I get around 220 miles to a tank (9.5 gallons or at red line). Pretty shitty gas mileage. I think my tranny is spraying oil on my cat becuz everythime after I drive my car smells really bad and there is crap all over my cat. Anyone have an explanation for my piss more mileage and a way to fix the tranny problem without scalding myself with hot oil?

I drove 341 miles on 8.5 gallons of gas. That equals 40mpg. I dont know how I get that good of mileage but i do...maybe because my car is light, crazy considering my setup:

25-29 running 91 octane - depending on how hard I drive. Its hard not to rev past 5500. :D
Before I had the HF engine and easily got 40 MPG.
Oh yeah, every site that lists CRX specs shows the HF with a 10.6 gal. fuel tank, but mine tops off at 7.5. What do you other guys top off at?

Yes, you'll need to get new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and 02 sensor....cleaning your injectors is good too.

Oh, and i am gonna do my o2 sensor, but i read before about someone using aftermarket o2 sensors and they sucked ass.... So, which o2 sensor should i get?

Dammit...you are gonna make us do the math aren't you??
let's see - 100km = ~62miles....
1 litre = ~33.8 oz =~ .264 gallons
7.3 liters = ~1.92 gallons / 62 miles = 32.291 MPG - not too bad
12 liters = ~3.17 gallons / 62 miles = 19.56 MPG -
My advice = stay off the VTEC :bloated: :D :flipa: :silly2:

Changing the cap and rotor is as easy as taking your rims off.
Mark and pull off all the spark plug wires...get a 8mm? socket and take off the 3 or 4 silver bolts that hold on the cap....get a philips screwdriver and take off the single bolt that holds the rotor.....replace rotor..make sure you screw it on tight!....assembly is opp. of removal.

in my old sedan, i got about 28-29 mpg. having an automatic helps me keep my gas milage constant ... the info ive read online said the sedan was supposed to hit like 32 Hwy / 29 city i think. and the hatch is supposed to go like 32-37 Hwy / 28-32 city depending on model and what not. if you fit into those ranges you should be doing alright.

Isn't a bunghole either the hole or the stopper that goes in the hole of one of those old wooden kegs?
