Call your local dealer and ask if it's still available through GM. Sometimes, to my surprise, some dealers still have items in stock even for something going back to '91, especially if the part fits many othe ryears. Many dealers are linked and can look up on their computer if another dealer in the system has the part you need. They then can order it from them to be sent to your local dealer for you to pick up.
Instaead of driving to a million junkyards, why don't you let your fingers do the walking as the old saying goes and call some up before you head out? Again, some salvage yards are linked and can search other yard's inventory to locate the part(s) you need. Saves time, money and more importantly GAS.
An possible online source would be www.car-part.com . You can enter the year, make , and model of your vehicle, then search for the specific part from adrop down menu and get the results. From those results of salvage yards that have the part, you can find one closest to you or one that has the best price or shipping charges. You can also shop by the condition of the part, as many results have the condition listed in the entry.

My 92 has the same burgundy interior. I'm looking for a driver side shoulder belt. The housing on the floor has, over time, cut into belt fabric.
I used to have a 91 with the blue interior and I have had some luck on ebay in the past, as long as you have time to look. I created a search on ebay motors to look for the part and color and eventually some guy in Tennesse was parting out his truck with the blue interior and I was able to score some parts off the guy.
Now with my 92 with the bergundy interior I plan on doing the same thing. The belt is still 85-90% intact (across the width) so I have some time before it breaks. I'll set up my search, bait my hook, and just wait for a fish to bite.
PS - I found the maroon after market stereo adapter for the center dash on Crutchfield.com, if you have not upgraded to an aftermarket stereo yet.

i talked to the local chevy dealer today and they quoted me $298 for the assembly. i've done quite a bit business on ebay so i guess that is next. as for my stereo, it is the stock cassette deck w/equalizer (top of the line!) anyway the radio works ok but the pitch seems to be erratic on the tape deck. one day it will get a cd player....
