? about possible 300zx setups

Hello, im somewhat of a newb to 300zx's, im familar with 240's and SR20DET's but not the VG30DETT, im interested in purchasing a 300zx with a shot engine and purchasing a new one and building it up. Im having trouble finding literature and engines for the 300zx's, any good sites you could recomend me would be ideal, especially with engines, thanks

Building a fast Z is an awesome idea, but start w/a good engine and bad body, not the other way around. Body pieces for the Z are pretty easy to come by, but an engine would be hard to find in good condition unless you pulled it from a wreck. Also you can get a reman engine from pep boys and such, but I don't know if I'd trust them for an engine that I was going to work.
