I have a chirping noise coming from the back of my engine. It is not the belt up front. Any ideas. Thanks

You may have to elaborate a bit. This "chirping" noise, does it occur while idling? when moving? Accelerating? Coasting? What kind of tranny do you have?

When idling. I have a 3.0 manual shift. It seems to disappear when accelerating.

Also I have not gotten a check engine light. Could it be the cam positioning sensor?

Does the vehicle run OK other than the chirping noise. If it does, I doubt it if the noise is caused by the throttle positioning sensor. Since you said it only happens when idling (with the clutch pedal released, it could be the throw out bearing. Just keep a watch and see what other symptoms occur if any.
