Thanks guys for being patient with this build. Looks like I am not making any significant progress on this.

I supposed the greatest impediment is the weather; the winter months are bloody cold, I really cannot find any motivation to push myself go forward.

Having said that, here are some updates...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_221.jpg
Made various connectors using thin electrical wire and metal tubings.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_222.jpg
I am trying to see if I can make steering shaft using some tuned parts... But my skill isn't up to the challenge yet... :shakehead

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_224.jpg
Now that I have a great information of reference photos, I am digging deeper into my grave... What to do, what to do... At least I can see what I would want to replicate and it is very helpful to have exact photos of everything!

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_226.jpg

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_227.jpg
It looks convincing enough to me... I think it will work for what I want to achieve! :sunglasse

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_228.jpg
Looking at what I have done so far, I still have tons of work still left to do.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_229.jpg
Again, finding a motivation is very tough and I have thought about just wrapping up this build and call it a day...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_231.jpg
Seeing how the completed models always struggling with the clean fit, I had to test fit mine... It looks okay so far, but I am 100% positive that once the paint goes onto the surface, things won't line up and will show gaps between the parts.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_232.jpg
Some fix up on damaged CF decals (A)... Unfortunately, I have redo the flat coating work on them.

If you look at carefully, the side body molding has been slightly melt! Luckily, it still aligns fine with the body parts.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_234.jpg
Moving on the the interior... The seats are bit shiny, so I will have to tone them down.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_235.jpg
This will do! Just enough to show that there has been some work went into it! :iceslolan

Ah, thank you guys for the motivation boost!

Well, you ever felt that building a kit as a hobby no longer feels like a hobby?

It starts to become work and you get stressed because things don't go right?

This is where I have a problem with; if a hobby is no longer enjoyable, why continue? Not saying we should give up and stop, but I think this is when you stop building and do something else till you get the "urge" back to build again... Even it takes months. :uhoh:

I think it is important to find the "urge"! :)

Even though I was stressed out, I managed to get things moving forward...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_237.jpg
A close shot of the engine bay looking through the engine cover... I will have to concentrate making this view looking clean and nice.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_238.jpg
I manage to start the work of chassis floor. Nothing really special, I just covered with different grades of C/F decals.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_239.jpg
I ended re-doing the carbon backing for the seat because it didn't come out right(A). See, when you have to repeat things because you didn't execute it right at the first time, it really becomes pain...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_240.jpg
Looks slightly better...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_241.jpg
Using the Crazy Modeler's P/E set, I simply constructed the pedals.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_242.jpg
Seats require some flat coating to tone down the shine...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_243.jpg
The floor is finally attached. I used 5 min epoxy to secure the chassis floor to the frame. I like using epoxy as it keeps things cleaner then CA glue...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_244.jpg
Added small details by dipping the coil wrapped pipes to an enamel.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_245.jpg
Now moving onto the rear suspension work....

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_246.jpg
Acus-Tion tune metal parts and P/E sets(A) are being used with the existing Tamiya parts(B)...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_247.jpg
Adding small bolts...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_248.jpg
I like these tune metal parts, but they seem too clean for my taste...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_249.jpg
Adding bushings to the suspension arms.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_250.jpg
I think they are out of scale, but regardless the left side arm looks better than the right! :iceslolan

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_251.jpg
More metal tuned bolts were supplied to complete the arm.

Please don't laugh, I tagged along with my wife for shopping over the weekend and we stopped by at the local IKEA to buy things. And guess what I found for $2.99?

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_252.jpg
This! Look closely! I think this is to cover up the frying pan to prevent hot oil spilling out during cooking, but I see some potential use for "grille" applications for our hobby! :runaround:

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_254.jpg
http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_259.jpg
http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_253.jpg
I just temporarily made some plates to cover the dashboard... I think they look quite good for what I want to achieve. And for $2.99, I have enough materials to cover multiple cars. I will redo this again with bit more accuracy in size and pattern.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_256.jpg
Made the active suspension parts and heat shields...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_258.jpg
But unfortunately, they don't look good. I mean, They look HORRIBLE!
It is probably because I eye-balled the heat shielding plate and cut it without measuring. Then I roughly sanded without giving too much thought to bring out some metal shine.

Well, I thought they would look good, but they don't...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_260.jpg
Took about one hour to make these, but I will ditch them...

Going back to drawing board and will try again... :shakehead

Wow. Absolutley amazing.

I have the yellow Enzo kit, and I can see I have a lot to learn before I try building mine.

Holy crap...I bought the Revell Enzo a few days ago form a Micheals for about $13...thought it would be a nice easy thing, something to relax while building my Audi...but wow! All the parts...it was crazy. Then I hop on here and look at your beast...holy crap. Here I am complaining 130+ parts overgoes an easy project, and here you are getting down to the bushings in the rear suspension! I wish I had an idea on how to do any of this, this work is incredible! The brakes, the engine, the cockpit oh my! Keep up the amazing work!

Sometimes when I lose motivation, I look around on the forums...its incredible the amount of talent found here...just looking at your carbon fiber makes me what to go get started on my floor! Hope this can maybe help you if you lose motivation...

Can I please borough some de-motivation from you...and while we are at it - some skills, too? Incredible work. You must be a very patient man to do all this detailing. Fantastic outcome so far.

That's amazing! Hope to see the finished product soon! I just want to ask a question about how to get a very shinny surface with actylic paint and clear coat. I tried before and it seems to be just not hard enough to polish and I always live figner print on it. ..

Thank you very much for positive comments! I really appreciate your interest in this so far.

This has been a long WIP and I feel bad for updating it every month or so dragging this out...

I am still working on this although I did submit this at the Ferrari Club of America Expo which Tom has organized.

I enjoyed the event very much! Best of all, it provided nice cozy environment of meeting many people and talking about cars and models.

I am going to see if I can work through the WIP till I complete the model. Here it goes...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_261.jpg
This my second effort to "better" the active suspension damper unit...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_262.jpg
However, I still don't like them.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_626.jpg
This is my third attempt and I gave up... :sly: Added some piping work (A) and replaced the braided hose with the regular wiring. Will color (B) with flat silver later on...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_263.jpg
Moving away from the suspension, I had a funny idea where I should make the fuel flap "openable"??? I will consider this... But my skill might not support my ideas!

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_628.jpg
I carefully checked for camber angles and I found that they were horribly bad.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_629.jpg

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_630.jpg
This is quite bad, will have to adjust this by reshaping the suspension arms and also using epoxy to hold the wheel to the correct position.

I decided that I won't take the wheels off to display; will go with an easy route where I identify the correct position of the wheels and glue them down! :eek7:

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_631.jpg
Continue to work on the body parts. Need to correct some seams and putty the areas where I have damaged while cutting out the center hood!

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_632.jpg
I also cut out the existing mesh area so I can replace it with one of the P/E parts.

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_633.jpg

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_634.jpg
Making the frame support beams...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_635.jpg

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_636.jpg
Slowly the model is showing its figure~ I enjoy this part of the work where I can see how things build up... :headshake

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_638.jpg
http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_642.jpg
Argh! Unfortunately, the cowl does not fit anymore!!!!! Even though I have been test fitting multiple times, I still get problems. Maybe I can take care of it with some plastruct sheets (A)

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_644.jpg
http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_645.jpg
Other than that though, the rest of the parts seem to be okay!

Adding the seat belt and its mount...

http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_647.jpg
http://www.cifesystem.com/super_enzo/senzo_648.jpg
In parallel, I also started to construct the trunk storage unit... This will definitely take some time, but once I finish this, Enzo is one step closer to be completed....

I still have some work left, but nothing major... Again, I thank you for keeping up the WIP with me and I really appreciate your support giving me adivse and warm welcome!

I also made good friends which is the most valuable event I can think of!

Man Steve, She looks great!!! Please post some up close shots of the engine bay, I want to look it over and enjoy the detail.

I've got a question though..for reference to my Enzo build, do you know what caused the engine cover to not fit anymore? I've been test fitting mine and its good, and I don't want to run into that once I get there..

Anyway, Beautiful build man...

looking forward to the final shots

Steve, the way how you explain and show your progress is the most inspiring I've ever seen. I discovered your website many many years ago, you built some real beauties, but this Enzo is a milestone in the Hobby.

Congratulations and thank you for sharing.

Great details in it and it seems you made the hinges for the front cover workable.
Just a suggestion, try using a thinner rod for supporting the rear engine cover which would look nice.
