I'm looking around at different cars and came across a dealer with a G6 going for $13,999. It has 15,027 miles on it.
I'm wondering should I look into it. Are G6's a pain to upkeep or are they reliable cars?

13,999 for a g6 with onyl 15,000 miles isn't a bad price. It depends on the model and options to say if its a good price or not.
Things to watch out for:
The 2 doors tend to have sunroof drainage problems causing water to get into the car.
For the engines: the 4cyl ecotec engine is great on gas very reliable from what i have heard. The 3.5l V6 3500 engine is good on gas, but has the same intake manifold leaks as the 3.4l V6 GM engines. It would be the only thing you would have to keep an eye on in the future. The 3.9L V6 3900, is ok on gas, but so far a very reliable engine.
So far for these cars there hasn't been many "issues" to speak of. But as goes with any car you many or may not encounter something. My advise would be to find out the history of the car through CARFAX. Also I would see about any warranties on the car as well.
I bought my 2006 G6 GTP a few months ago with 30,000 miles on it. I have absolutely no complaints, it runs great with no major repairs ever done...
hope this helps some.

It ran it through CarFax as I typed the initial post. It was originial part of a corporate fleet and still has some of the original warranty on it.
I just checked the site again and they have a 2007 G6 showing up now also. I might end up being part of the Pontiac family.

Well good luck if you decide to go for it. Corporate fleets can be abused at times but that depends on the "owner". If anything ask about extened warranties, cuz that's what i did.
