well i moved back to south carolina a couple of months ago and got a new job..i have been training and the manager (my trainer) and i get along really good all we really do is joke around and stuff...so i was telling her about pranks i use to do to my step brother and we were just having a good time...then today i get to work and im standing outside smoking a cigg (keep in mind i live in a small town) soo as im puffing away killing myself a police car pulls up. the cop gets out and says you call the cops and i said know why, he responded we had a call from here.(remember what he said) so i say well come inside maybe my manager called you for some reason so he gets inside and asked her where (my name here) was i said im (my name here) he goes turn around and put your hands on the wall...and i said why, hes response was we got a call from disbatch saying you had stolen a car, (this is where i knew it was a prank or atlease i thaught it was. non the less i knew i hadnt stolen any cars so i had nothing to worry about...because his first story was we called him then he said he was dispatched over the radio for a stolen car just didnt make since) so i asked him who put him up to it i thought maybe he was a friend of my moms... and this is where i no longer thought it was a joke...he put his hand like he was going for his gun and said i told you to put your hand on the wall soo i looked at my manager laughing and was like w.e he asked me if i had anything that was going to poke him and me still kinda hoping it was just a joke said no i left my knives and drugs at home...he then seriously frisked me thats when i lost all doubts of this being a joke after that he put handcuffs on me and proceded to walk out with me when my manager started to laugh and tell me that was her brother....:banghead: i got owned!
Sorry so long half of yall dont have a long enough attention span to get through the whole thing but its a funny story prob funnier if you where there

If you're a product of the South Carolina school system, I am sending my kids out of state for their education.

ouch just cause im a bad speller doesn't mean you need to make me sound like an idiot. Sorry i don't go online to talk in forums and double check my grammar. Anyways i actually attend the citadel and just so you know south Carolina schools suck. Mainly because the bad pay and teachers don't get any funds for supplies in most school any more.

I wasn't referring to your spelling other that your inability to differentiate between 'no' and 'know' or 'sense' and 'since'
Oh, and I've heard 'great' things about the Citadel and the folks I have met from there have pretty much proven what I have heard.
And to close:

Forget the spelling Nazi's, that story was quite amusing.
I don't suppose there's any chance of you uploading the security footage? :p

I don't understand what is so hard about spelling, grammar, and punctuation. It isn't difficult, and not only does it make you much easier to understand, it also gives what you say a whole lot more influence. If English isn't your first language then that is different.
I apologize if I come off as a jerk (I really don't think I'm being unreasonable), but in any case there's no reason to stop posting here. Welcome to AF.

you know what I remember most about being in school?
There were always kids who would say: "why do I need to learn this bit of maths? I'd never use it later in real life". These tended to be the kids who always had a reason not to actually much of the other work as well. "Why do I need to learn this bit of English Literature if i want to be a computer programmer?".
Wonder what happened to those kids?

Un-capitalised "you" is me not hitting that shift key properly. Un-capitalised "why" is because it is not a new speaker; it only being an example of speech, although I have to say I am not 100% sure on this. "I'd" is short form of "I would":. "I would never use it later in real life". If you want to be really pickey, we're both wrong. Both "I will" and "I would" are both indications of intent. To make the sentence correct, you would need to add "need to" as appropriate. Omitted "do" is a typo. Finally, you missed one; I left out an "I" in the last line.
