95 4runner power antenna

First, I have searched the forum and did not see anything that I thought answered so I am going to ask...

I just purchased a used 95 4 runner with an aftermarket radio already installed. It has a power antenna that does not move up or down when power is applied to the radio. All other electrics seem to work fine.

Does anyone know if there is a method to hook up the factory power antenna to an aftermarket radio, or do I need to install a traditional (non-power) antenna?

I have not had the opportunity to remove the stereo so I do not know how it currently connected, but will check this weekend.

its probably just not connected. i installed a new cd player and had to connect it up. im no expert but check to see if its connected before you buy anything.

broken antennas on this models is a common issue, and I think that you might need to replace it
