1991 Honda CRX Swap.............

Tring to get some opinions . They mean a lot to me but I'm having second thoughts or doubts about buying it.... Anyways...... I have a 91 CRX dx or base model whichever. its a automatic. My Plans are to do a b16 with a 5 speed conversion.... So far I'm trying to look into dat b16 motor and a b18. Far as i know b16 has a perfect compression stroke also i will beat my boy who has a b18 in his 96 civic ex along with them lasting longer then a b18 i dont know how true that is but im beleiven it... I want a b16 but ive been hearin that the jdm b16 dizzy's go out like crazy and what not. I havent heard anything bad about a b18 but i just didnt want it cus i figured it was heavier then a b16 and i wanted to be able to pull off the line faster befor my boi does in his 96 with b18. Anywas give me your opinions and let me know which route would be good its either b16 or b18 let me know thanks.....

i've got a b16 in my rex and its pretty f'in fast. i hear that a with the b18 swap it will be just as fast in the 1/4 mile because of the torque. I'd be really surprised though if he could keep up on the highway against a b16.

thanks i'm still intrested into getting a b16 not a b18 now:) but its like i have like 7 member in my car club and three of them that drive honda civics with b18c's which is gsr and i told thme once i put that b16 in mine imma walk the dog on them bumpin my system at the sametime lol even tho it may not be true but its worth a shot. any suggestions?

Right now i have stock d15b2 with header, flowmaster catback,cai,air breathers,grounding kit and thats it dealin with performance.I need more power lol b16 is where im trying to go. Also have youy had any problems with the jdm b16 dizzy's goping out on you?

i was assuming you where talking about a b18b swap and not the b18c if they have a gsr engine in anything but a 4th gen then i'd imagine you'll be pretty close to each other. if its in a 4th gen they kick the shit out your rex with a b16

i have no problem with my dizzy.but i converted to an obd-1 and used a new king distributors dizzy.
