1995 riviera shift problems

The transmission wants to up shift too soon and sometimes it won't down shift when slowing down until it comes to a stop. Need help

Welcome to AF. Should be scanned with a trans function scanner to look at solenoid operation, tps inputs and general condition. Check the trans modulator for proper vacuum first.
