90 CRX LOOKING FOR jdm D15b OR OTHER.....

i just bought a 1990 crx hf (for $500 runs and drives great) and im selling my 96 mx6 so im gonna use the money to dump into the crx. i will have about a 800 to 1000 to put into it. suggestions would be great im not looking to have the fastest crx i just want it to beat all my buddies who think there hondas are fast lol or should i just do the mini me swap for now until i can get more money

if you want faster then your buddies then get a jdm d15b and turbo it. other wise id go b16 in my opinnion.

You can't do a mini-me swap to an hf motor because the hf motor has an 8 valve head so things don't match between a z6/y8 head and the hf block. Also, the HF tranny has really long gears and there are other things that would even make swapping to another set up a PITA.

GL trying to find a reliable b16 that doesn't smoke, have broken sensors or a tranny that doesn't grind. Haha. They're certainly getting harder to come by these days...

Do you want to sell the 8 valve head? I will buy it or swap you for a 16 valve.

Didn't you just read the post I wrote? It won't work. I give up. Go ahead and trade heads and find out for yourselves...

pretty much what hes saying is your motor and tranny are crap. the hf chasie is the only thign worth it because its so light plus its already got mpfi.
