After building the 55 Ford Pickup AMT kit, this one was a relief. First of all, this has to be one of the best kits I`ve done recently. The porpotions are right, the detail is outstanding, and there was hardly any flash which meant no need to sand each and evey part. This kit, quality wise, is even better than most imports I`ve built recently. Everything seemed to fit right (except the friggin wheels, test fit these first) with no modification.
I used several colors of DupliColor laquer for the finish. The front fenders and portions of the sides are black, the hood and top are cranberry metallic and fade into a dark metallic blue in the back. You cant really see the fade effect in the pictures, but it looks really cool in real life. The graphics were yellow and red duplicolor laquers as well. I topped it off with several coats of duplicolor clear. Believe it or not, I painted this on a rainy day with humidity at 100%, and the finsh was "frosted" and looked like it had been snowed on once it started drying. The entire model was a light gray color after a couple coats of clear. I`ll never paint on a rainy day again.
FOr those of you who dont use Duplicolor laquers, try them! They are great and rub out perfectly.

Thanks guys!
Did you use the Treatment?
Yep. :) Actually, just before I took this picture I put a coat of it on.
What's going on with the licence plate?
I thought the license plate that came with it was kinda corny. I`m gonna get another out of the parts box.

Thanks again guys. I`ll try to get some pics of the engine, possibly later today if it`s light out when I get home. I also want to get pictures of it in better light o you can see the fade effect from cranberrry to blue.
