2000taurus front rattle

I Have A 2000 Taurus That Rattles In The Front When Going Over Small Bumps. It Also Will Pop When Turning Hard To The Left Or Right. I Have Replaced The Stuts,no Change,checked Out Front Suspension Everything Looks Ok. The Rattle And The Pop Sounds Like Its On The Drivers Side And You Can Feel It On The Floor . Could It Possiblely Be Sway Bar Links Or Even Sub Frame Mounts? The Cv Shafts Seem Ok. Ball Joints Seem Ok. Tie Rods Seem Ok. Everything Looks Normal.

Welcome to the forum! I think you're right in suspecting sway bar end links and subframe mounts.

I had a noise similar to what you describe on my '98 SHO. I started with the sway bar end links since they were original, inexpensive, and felt loose. I didn't notice a difference afterwards. The following weekend I pulled the subframe mounts, one at a time and cleaned them, the corresponding mounting locations on the subframe, and applied a thin layer of lithium grease to the contact points. Torqued them properly and the noise was almost completely gone.
