Svt Engine Rebuild/ Replacement???

My engine is kinda messed i think it makes a rattle/grind noise this stays consistant with the rpm somtimes...its not plastic or anything...im just curious
how much would it be to replace my svt engine or better yet just rebuild it????

If its in the bottom end, you would be better picking up a 3.0L since they are cheaper than an svt 2.5L block. Theres no point in rebuilding when that is more expensive than just throwing a used motor in there. Used 3.0Ls start from about $400.

...so are the 3.0 fairly easy to find, aswell as to swap in??? i wouldnt be doing the work myself.....

Considering Ford currently or did put the motor in the Taurus/Sable/Escape/Lincoln LS/Jaguar/X-type, etc its readily available. Pick up a motor from the Taurus, Sable, Escape for the cheapest. Yes, its fairly easy to do. Its done so much, we have a 3.0L branch over on contour.org with how-to's, etc.
